Paxman-Moody Archive

The Paxman-Moody Archive serves as a repository for family related documents, histories, photographs, videos, and other materials to share with all descendants of William Reed Horizon Paxman (WRH) and Urilda Moody (Lillie)—the parents-in-law of Albert Christian Busath, the oldest son of Christian Bersvendsen Busath and Agnes Abigail Cheever.  The Paxman-Moody Archive is stored on the Permanent.org platform managed by the Permanent Legacy Foundation, a mission-driven, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, cultural heritage organization, just like a library, museum, university, or faith-based organization.

The Paman-Moody Archive will grow as additional discoveries are made. As of the end of 2023, it contained

  • two short, animated histories of WRH and Lillie,
  • a 279-page Documentary History, entitled “A Documentary History of William Reed Horizon and Urilda Moody Paxman and Their Families,”
  • a folder holding 51 census records,
  • a folder holding 30 non-contemporaneous histories and other publications of interest to the family, and
  • six folders holding 540 contemporaneous documents, photographs, newspaper articles, vital records, and other items obtained from multiple sources.

The display name of each item in the Paxman-Moody Archive begins with the citation code used to reference documents cited in the Documentary History as also set out in its Appendix – Listing of Citation Codes. Items in the Paxman-Moody Archive are organized by citation code to allow easy retrieval of any cited document.  Items in the Paxman-Moody Archive may be retrieved by searching for the citation code or a word in the display name.  For example, a search for “Lillie” would retrieve items that refer to “Lillie” in their description.

Items in the Paxman-Moody Archive’s folders may also be browsed and may be downloaded for non-commercial family history purposes.  All other rights are reserved.
