Promptly at 1:30 pm, people gathered in the chapel for the family picture taken under the direction of Drake Busath of Busath Photography, and his sons, Bromley, Richard, and Chase. The picture was taken from a
tall ladder in the chapel behind the
pulpit shooting out towards the back
of the chapel with the cultural hall
doors open. Drake favored this
approach because the room light was
sufficient, and he could stand cousins
between the last and next-to-last
rows, and on the last bench, and on risers behind the last bench. More importantly, by having the group far from the camera and looking up at it, he would be able to capture all faces and have head-sizes be similar for each of the rows in the photo.

Drake’s son Richard climbed the ladder and took multiple shots, first with name cards in front of faces, and second without. With this simple procedure we can accurately identify everyone in the photograph. Digital copies of the photograph with an identification key prepared by Dave have been emailed to everyone in our records. It has also been posted in the private Busath-Cheever Archive on Permanent.org. A smaller version is included below. You will notice that Drake (145) and cameraman Richard (175) have been added to the photo. Drake wanted to make his dad, Don who started Busath Photography, proud. We are confident he and Richard succeeded.

High resolution copies of the photo without the numbers and/or with the numbers and the key can be requested by email to info@busath.org.
