Under the coordination of L-J Busath, various family members brought pictures,
documents, and other memorabilia for Christian and Agnes and their children, which were
displayed on tables in the Primary Room.

The table for Christian and Agnes Busath featured the Busath Family Bible in which the births, baptisms, marriages, deaths, and other information of family members were
recorded. Christian gave the Bible to his oldest son Albert Christian on his fifth birthday, 20 September 1884. It has since been handed down from oldest son to oldest son and is now in Dave’s possession. Photographs of the key pages of the Bible are now posted on FamilySearch Family Tree. Many family pictures and original documents were also displayed.
The table for Albert Christian Busath
featured pictures of him and his wife, Urilda Dorinda Paxman, a binder of letters he wrote to her, and a drawing of an automaticgear he designed.

The table for Eugene Bersvendsen Busath had a picture of Eugene and his wife, Mary Adelaide “Daisy” Derr, and pictures of each of their children. The pictures were provided in advance by their grandson Stuart Leigh Busath.
The table for Elsie Gertrude
Busath displayed a photograph
of her and her husband, George
Albert Parry, a binder of documents, and some of her Chinaware.

The table for Agnes Marietta Busath
featured the dress she wore when she
married Peter A????leck Clayton in 1912.
It also displayed many family pictures
and a letter her husband wrote to his
mother when his wife Agnes passed
away in 1934.
Lyndon “Lyn” Clayton brought for Agnes’s table an original photograph of her parents, Christian and Agnes Busath, taken by renowned photographer C. R. Savage about 1883. The photograph has been scanned and added to their Memories on FamilySearch Family Tree.

The table for Joseph Nelson Busath
showed pictures of him and his wife, Nina LaGlora Dansie, other documents, and Joseph’s original mission journal (1913-1915), which includes his accounts of meeting with Christian’s brother Erik and his family on the Spjeldet farm in Norway where Christian grew up. His journal has
been scanned and is available to download from the Church History Library.
Each of the table displays discussed above also included binders of their known
descendants. The Reunion enabled us to add many descendants to our records. We
would like to keep track of Christian’s and Agnes’s descendants and encourage all family
members to continue to provide information to help us keep the lists up to date and
accurate.
There was also a table display for
Christian’s and Agnes’s children
who have no descendants:
Elizabeth Jane “Lizzie”, John Henry,
Jens, Wilford Lamar, and Norman
Denzel Busath. The table included
an original sample of Lizzie’s
beautiful handwriting, pictures of
Lizzie, Wilford, and Norman,
pictures of the gravestones of John
Henry and Jens, and copies of the
obituaries for Lizzie, Wilford, and
Norman.

Finally, Richard B. Busath prepared a table for Christian’s relatives in Norway. It featured two laptops, one playing pictures of relatives in Norway, and one playing pictures that Maren Busath Brinkerho???? took of her recent trip to Norway. Also on the table were two posters with maps and pictures of important family sites and farms, and a
copy of Ivar Brønstad, BUSETHSLEKTA (Hamar: 1994) (“the Red Book”), which provides information on the descendants of Christian’s grandfather, Jens Jensen
Buseth. Richard has reviewed all the
entries relating to descendants born more than 110 years ago and has added them to FamilySearch Family Tree to enable temple ordinances to be performed on their behalf. Any family members who would like to participate in that work are welcome to join the Busath family group on Family Tree by
contacting Richard or his brother Lynn. Richard is also willing to provide a copy of a spreadsheet he prepared listing the descendants with their Family Tree IDs and the pages on which they are mentioned in the Red Book.
